A roof over our head is a meditation on what home truly means. It shifts the focus from a physical structure to a feeling.

At its center lies a constellation of personal objects belonging to the artist, woven into an abstract figure that suggests a home without fully resembling. Yet, it is the shadows on the walls that unlock the work’s depth. These shifting silhouettes dissolve the physical into the conceptual, embodying diverse manifestations of “home”.

This artwork mirrors the artist’s own search for home. It started as an academic research and turned in to an art form. It is a search echoed by those who move, migrate, or drift apart from loved ones—by anyone who inhabits spaces yet does not always feel they belong. The work gives form to this shared human longing, transforming personal research into collective reflection.
